REAL WHEELS
REALITY BASED PROGRAM OFFERS ALTERNATIVE TO ANIMATED KIDS TELEVISION SHOWS
While animated shows set in a world based on fantasy help develop imagination, children need to understand how the real world works, too. REAL WHEELS builds on a child's natural curiosity about the world around them. What child doesn't get excited when he or she sees a big bulldozer pushing earth, or a fire truck racing to the rescue, or a train speeding down the tracks? In this 13 part series, children from 3 to 8 (and their parents) get to sit back and enjoy watching real people do real work with really big vehicles and machines like monster trucks, race cars, and jet planes.
DAVE, the host of REAL WHEELS makes each episode into an exciting adventure as he explores a new real life situation where real experts are operating different kinds of larger-than-life equipment. Viewers meet real people like crane operator Jim, Navy pilot Linda and train engineer Fred. DAVE asks the questions that every child wants answers to: How do does this work? How fast will it go? What happens if… And the experts answer. DAVE usually saves the best part for last when he actually operates or rides in the featured machine or vehicle. For the child (and parent!) watching this part of the program becomes a true vicarious thrill.
Don't miss the boat, truck or any machine that DAVE is exploring! The enormously successful Real Wheels series is coming to television for the very first time in fall, 2003. In addition, Real Wheels is launching a website in September, 2003! When logged on to www.realwheelstv.com, parents will be able to:
